Meredew 8 Drawer Chest

A rare vintage Meredew chest of 8 drawers, manufactured in the 1960s. Finished in dark oak, with solid oak conical handles, an iconic feature of Meredew from the mid century. The piece is a very comfortable size, between a sideboard and a chest of drawers, standing quite proudly with ample storage and a good broad surface. The top set of 4 drawers are slightly shallower than the bottom 4 making a for versatile usage.

Condition

In good condition with wear commensurate with age. The item has been refinished but retains its vintage patina. The structure is solid and sturdy, the drawers run smoothly. One single handle is darker than the others, possible a design feature/modification from previous owner.
